About the Parrot
Family Cacatuidae. Found in Australia, the East Indies and the Philippines. All have prominent and expressive feathered crests and powerful hooked beaks. Body size lies between 30-52cm. Feeds on vegetation, sometimes damaging crops and are usually gregarious. Nest in natural hollow in trees or rocks, where the female lays two to four eggs.
